The Mico University College Child Assessment and Research in Education (CARE) Centre, is a Centre of Excellence of the Mico University College, established to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and other intervention services to children, in Jamaica and the English-speaking Caribbean, who present with a range of challenges that affect learning. In addition to Mico CARE in Kingston, two other centres have been established, one in Mandeville, Manchester and the other in St Ann’s Bay, St Ann.
Our MissionMico CARE Centre is a model institution, working in partnership with families and educational stakeholders to create sustainable positive outcomes for children with learning differences through diagnostic assessment, research, innovation, data-driven intervention, public education and training.
Our Vision
We strive to create a Caribbean region where students with learning differences are inspired to achieve their full potential through access to quality learning solutions, supported by sustainable educational policies and practices, grounded in culturally relevant research.
Our Values
At Mico CARE Centre, we provide quality psycho-educational and related assessment, therapeutic and academic intervention, resources and training to support students with learning challenges.
